Chef Renee Touponce joins the roving dinner series Outstanding in the Field again, this time in Jamestown, Rhode Island at Watson Farm.

This dinner promises a heavyweight pairing of star chef and spectacular setting. The seaside hillsides and stone walls of Watson Farm may look familiar to movie buffs; the historic site served as the set for Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom. Host farmer Max raises Red Devon cattle on the farm and – alongside his good friend Brian – oysters in the nearby waters. They’ll give chef Renee plenty to work with, and she is sure to make the most of it. Last year, Renee invited some of her favorite female chefs into the field kitchen to collaborate as part of her ongoing advocacy for women and LGBTQ-identifying folks in professional kitchens. Their meal offered a pretty convincing argument for why they deserve the many accolades they’ve received.
